The activity advent calendar is a better tradition than the chocolate one and fails for a dull reason: filling twenty-four envelopes in November requires twenty-four ideas on one evening. Draw daily instead and skip the admin entirely. Thirty activities scaled from ten minutes to a whole evening, so a busy Tuesday and a free Saturday both have something that fits. Let the youngest draw; the ritual matters more than the activity does.
