Draw instead, watch three episodes, and drop it without guilt if it has not landed. Three episodes is the fair test everyone agrees on. Thirty established series across genres, deliberately excluding currently-airing shows so the list does not date. Roughly a third are self-contained enough to finish in a fortnight.
