35 items
The hard part of inventing a hero is not the powers, it is that every good name is taken and lawyered. These thirty-five are original constructions, built to sound like they belong in a universe without being lifted from one. Draw a name first and let the powers follow from it: working backwards from a name produces stranger and better characters than starting with an ability. Useful for tabletop supers campaigns, comics drafts, and school creative writing units.
