A dragon name has one job, which is to sound older than the people saying it. That rules out anything cute and anything that scans like a person's name, so these forty lean on hard consonants and long vowels: the sort of thing that works when a character says it reluctantly. Tabletop use is obvious; novelists get more from drawing three and deciding which is the true name and which two are what frightened villagers call it. Works unreasonably well for large dogs, too.
