Every shared house has the same silent standoff, where the chores get done by whoever cracks first and resentment does the rest of the accounting. Chance is the only allocator nobody can argue with: everyone draws in turn until the list is empty, and the person who got the bathroom got it fairly. Fifty tasks covering the daily round and the weekly reset, pets and laundry included: the jobs that are easy to forget count as work at all. Households with children find the draw does more for compliance than any amount of negotiation.
