Museum visits improve enormously when you arrive hunting for something specific rather than drifting past three thousand years of artefacts at a uniform pace. Draw a deity the night before, read a paragraph, then find them in the galleries: on a coffin lid, a papyrus, a wall fragment. Twenty-four here, spanning the famous jackal-and-falcon set and the ones whose domains are gloriously specific. The hippopotamus goddess of childbirth is an excellent draw and nobody expects her.
